We have been experiencing issues with sound, both in the church and online. If you can’t hear (or see) us, let us know.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OUR MOTHERS
The Quiet Strength of Mothers
Mother’s Day is one of those moments in the year when we pause to give thanks for something we often take for granted: the quiet, steady love that shapes our lives from the beginning.
A mother’s work is rarely dramatic. It is usually made up of small things: meals prepared, worries carried silently, encouragement given at the right moment, and countless sacrifices that often go unnoticed. Yet it is through these ordinary acts that something extraordinary happens — lives are formed, hearts are strengthened, and people learn what love looks like.
Many of us can trace some of the most important things in our lives back to our mothers: our sense of right and wrong, our ability to forgive, our faith, our resilience when life becomes difficult. Long before we understood it, someone was quietly teaching us how to live.
Mother’s Day can also be a tender day. Some mothers are no longer with us. Some relationships are complicated. Some people carry the quiet pain of longing to be a mother. Today we hold all those feelings gently in prayer.
In the Christian tradition, we also remember Mary, the mother of Jesus. Her motherhood was not easy or straightforward. Yet she trusted, loved, and remained faithful even through uncertainty and sorrow. In her we see the courage and hope that so many mothers show every day.
Today we give thanks for all mothers — those who are with us, those who have gone before us, and those who show a mother’s care in so many different ways.
And perhaps the best way to honour them is not only with words, but with gratitude, kindness, and love.
