    Saturday Vigil Mass
    I am returning the Saturday evening Mass to every week, starting this week. I am also planning, from October to bring the Saturday Mass to 6pm for the winter. More on this time change later.

    Pilgrimage to Knock
    The Legion of Mary have a bus travelling to Knock Shrine on Sunday, 28th September. Leaving the carpark in Glenmore at 7am sharp. €35. Contact Mary on 087 616 4820

    Breast Cancer Awareness
    Breast Cancer Awareness Month takes place, October 1st to 31st. For further information please log on to www.breastcancerireland.com

    Altar Servers
    We have begun recruiting Altar Servers to serve at our two Masses, 7pm and 11am in the parish. We already have four, and more are welcome. Anyone from this year’s 3rd class and upward are welcome to join.

    Parental consent is required and, where possible parents are asked to help with supervision.

    Anyone interested, should collect an application form from the sacristy and drop it back the following week.

    Irish Hospice Foundation
    A coffee morning, in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation will take place in the Community Hall, Glenmore on Friday, 19th September from 10 to 12 noon. Please support if you can.

    Baptisms on Saturday’s
    Baptisms on Saturday’s at 2pm or Sunday’s at 12noon. Please give me at least 2 weeks notice. Where there is more than one request for a baptism on a particular day, families will be asked to share.

    Céilí Dancing
    Dancing recommences on Tuesday, 23rd September in the Community Hall at 8pm. Refreshments afterwards. All welcome.

    Chair Exercise
    This popular class runs on Wednesdays from 11am –12noon. All welcome

    Richie Young Memorial Run/Walk
    Sunday, 28th at 11am. Start & finish at the Pink Rock. Runners 5k / walkers 3k. Open to all. Estimate your finishing time. Closest to their estimated time wins

    Parish Envelopes
    Where possible, please use the parish envelope when making a donation. This allows us to record your donation and if you donate €5 per week or more, we may be able to claim the tax back on that amount. This charitable scheme is at no further cost to the donor, but could be worth an extra 33% to the parish.

    If you are using the envelopes, please write your name on the envelope since we are transitioning to a digital system. B
