Parish Envelopes
Where possible, please use the parish envelope when making a donation. This allows us to record your donation and possibly claim the tax back on that amount.
When using envelopes, please write your name on the envelope since we are transitioning to a digital system and sometimes the numbers are different.
New Candelabra
We have introduced a new votive light candelabra in the right-hand side of the church at Our Lady’s shrine. We hope people will find use for it. Lights on this candelabra cost 25c each.
Getting to Know You
At last, the bookwork and urgent matters are up to date and I can begin to concentrate on what matters most, meeting people and getting to know the parish.
One important element of this is house visitation however, I do realise, with busy lives and other commitments, many are not home, or prefer to relax when they are without people calling.
So what I propose is to visit houses where people would like me to call. If that’s you then fill out the short form printed on the newsletter and return it to me. I will then get in contact and call at at time that suits you and me.
I’m not calling for money or dinners or anything like that, just a cup of tea and a chat and I get to hear your view on parish and other things.
Bothán na mBán
The next scheduled meeting is next Thursday 23rd October'25. Time: 11am, Venue: Glenmore Community Centre. All ladies are welcome to attend".
Ceili Dancing
Tuesday night’s in the Community Hall. All welcome.
CHY Donation Scheme
If you contribute €5 per week and pay tax on private pension, land, shares, PAYE or self-employed, there may be a possibility we can claim tax back on the amount you have donated. Those who are over the €250 threshold will be receiving a letter from me in the near future. If you pay tax, and are agreeable to us claiming this extra amount, I ask you to fill out the form and get it back to me. This does not cost you a penny more. It’s reclaiming tax you have already paid. Thanks
