First Holy Communion
Congratulations toe the 13 boys and girls who received their First Holy Communion on Saturday. It was lovely occasion and we pray that these young people will always know the blessing and closeness of Jesus with them in their lives.

Fundraising Horse Night
The big Horse Race Night on the Big Screen, takes place on Friday, 17th July. Promoters are currently going around the parish seeking support. Backing a horse is €20 and you get three for €50. To sponsor a horse is €200. Please support. This is a fundraiser exclusively for the Community Hall and your support is greatly appreciated.

Sharing Anniversaries
If you book an weekend Mass, it will be with the understanding that families may have to share a particular weekend Mass with others. So far this is working well.
For those who wish to have an individual Mass, we offer weekday Masses at 10am.

Cemetery Water
Water has returned to the hall and we are using a new push button tap which will hopefully help conserve water and reduce our water bill. Water is also available at the back of the church sacristy.

May Rosaries
There will be rosary at the grotto in Glenmore on Saturday, May 16th at 4pm.
There will also be rosary at Ballyvaria Grotto on Monday, 25th May at 7.30pm
The 41st All Ireland Rosary Rally will take place on Saturday, 6th June at Knock Shrine

Golden Club
The club is having a clothes collection on the 5th of May which supports the cost of the club. Clothes can be dropped into Community centre during Pre-School hours, 8.45am to 12.15pm


Mass Cards
These are available in the sacristy and signed by me. Each card that carries my signature is a guarantee of a Mass offered. Cards are available for the living and deceased. Suggested donation is €10. Please remember to leave the name of the person you wish the Mass to be offered for.

Community Alert
The annual subscription for the text message service is now due (€10). Please leave it into the pub, Tirlán or the Community Hall (box in each place).

Ballyfacey N.S - Clothing Collection.
Ballyfacey N.S. are currently running a used clothing collection in conjunction with Bag2School. Please drop in any unwanted clothes & shoes to the school, & help us have a really good collection! Closing date is Friday May 22nd, and bags can be dropped to the school any day from 9.30AM - 3PM. Thank you.

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes
This takes place from May 25th to 30th.

Glenmore Rural Graveyard Group
The group will hold their AGM in Glenmore Community Hall on Thursday, 28th May at 8pm. All welcome.

Cemetery Rosaries
The annual gathering at our cemeteries for the rosary & blessing of graves takes place on the following dates:
Monday, 6th July, Kilcolumb, Rathenure,
Thursday, 9th July, Kilbride, Weatherstown
Monday, 13th July, Ballygurrim, Jamestown
Thursday, 16th July, Kilmakevoge, Graiguenakill. All Rosaries start at 7.30pm

Cemetery Mass
The Cemetery Mass will take place on Friday, 24th July at 7.30pm

Cemetery Tree
The Yew tree in the parish cemetery (to the right of the church), is impacting surrounding graves, as well as contributing to a green coating appearing on surrounding graves. It is our intention to cut this down in the coming months. Any observations, objections, please let me know.

Cushions
If you require a cushion to sit on the hard seats in the church, some are available in the sacristy.

Knock
There will be a one day coach trip to Knock Shrine on Sunday July 5th, for the Ferns Diocesan Day.
