Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee are planning two fundraisers that will benefit both the Community Hall and the parish.
Horse Race Night on the Big Screen, Friday, 17th July; Harvest Supper, Friday, 16th October
Your support of these upcoming events is greatly appreciated.

Sharing Anniversaries
If you book an weekend Mass, it will be with the understanding that families may have to share a particular weekend Mass with others. So far this is working well.
For those who wish to have an individual Mass, we offer weekday Masses at 10am.

Cemetery Water
Water has returned to the hall and we are using a new push button tap which will hopefully help conserve water and reduce our water bill. Water is also available at the back of the church sacristy. Incidentally, our last quarterly bill from Uisce Eireann was €307 (December to March).

First Holy Communion
Next Saturday we welcome the children from our schools who will receive their First Holy Communion. Please keep them in your prayers as they celebrate this important milestone in their faith journey. Mass starts at 11am

Glenmore Camogie Club
The GCC fundraising committee are holding a Super Raffle on Monday May 04th. Fantastic prizes to be won! - including Gift Hampers, Vouchers etc. Please support. Tickets available from any fundraising committee member.

Golden Club
The club is having a clothes collection on the 5th of May which supports the cost of the club. Clothes can be dropped into Community centre during Pre-School hours, 8.45am to 12.15pm Donations of clothes welcome and appreciated.

Glenmore School
Glenmore NS is recruiting a new caretaker. This is a part time position, a few hours a week. If you or someone you know is interested or would like more information, please email glenmorens@gmail.com or call the school office on 051-880269.

Mass Cards
These are available in the sacristy and signed by me. Each card that carries my signature is a guarantee of a Mass offered. Cards are available for the living and deceased. Suggested donation is €10. Please remember to leave the name of the person you wish the Mass to be offered for.

Community Alert
The annual subscription for the text message service is now due (€10). Please leave it into the pub, Tirlán or the Community Hall (box in each place).

Defibrillator Course
A new course is being organised within the coming weeks. Anyone interested in being trained in the use of these machines should contact Bernie Cullinane 087 753 9706 or Nicholas Kelly 087 256 7866. The course is open to anyone, 18 and older.

Cemetery Mass
The Cemetery Mass will take place on Friday, 24th July at 7.30pm (Not 7pm as previously announced)

Ignite Ireland
An Ignite Ireland day conference, with special guest speaker Scott Hahn, will take place in Dublin on Saturday, 23rd of May. Scott Hahn is a well known writer and broadcaster, and is a much sought after speaker. It is an event not to be missed. For information and to book your ticket, go to: www.dominicans.ie

Rosary Rally (no, not WRC), at the grotto in Glenmore on Saturday, May 16th at 4pm

No Mass Tuesday
Apologies but, due to a prior commitment there will be no Mass on Tuesday morning at 10am. Mass will resume on Thursday.

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes
This takes place from May 25th to 30th.

The weekly newsletter is complied by me (Fr. Liam), and there will be mistakes and errors. Space is limited so priority is given to parish, diocese and then wider interest. The newsletter costs about €500 per year to purchase and print (down from €1,900 previously).
