Listerlin Mass
While Fr. Cavanagh goes in sabbatical for the months of October and November, I will be covering the Sunday, 9.30am Mass in Listerlin. This does not affect any of our two Masses , Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 11am.

Altar Servers
We are delighted that we now have eight new altar servers for our two Masses. We are happy to welcome more. Anyone from 3rd class and upward can join.

Parental consent is required and, where possible parents are asked to help with supervision.

Anyone interested should collect an application form from the sacristy and drop it back the following week.

Mass Cards
Signed Mass Cards are available in the sacristy. They are signed by me and carry my guarantee of a Mass offered for each intention. Cards are available for the sick, special intention and for the deceased. Suggested stipend is €10. Please leave the name of the person you wish the Mass to be offered for.

Please call Fr. Liam to book the hall.

Parish Envelopes
Where possible, please use the parish envelope when making a donation. This allows us to record your donation and if you contribute €5 per week or more, we may be able to claim the tax back on that amount. This charitable scheme is at no further cost to the donor, but could be worth an extra 33% to the parish.

When using envelopes, please write your name on the envelope since we are transitioning to a digital system and sometimes the numbers are different.

Priest’s October Collection
By now, those who contribute to the priest’s collection should have received three envelopes and a little note explaining the three. Please use the October now, and keep the others safe until November, and Christmas. Please use the October one now, and keep the other two safe until they are needed.

If you didn’t get envelopes, and would like to contribute, there are spare ones at the back of the church on the table.
I am extremely grateful for the support I receive from parishioners, and grateful to our distributors who spend so much time delivering envelopes to houses. Thank you once again.

Hospice Coffee Morning
Sincere thanks to all who supported the recent coffee morning, those who baked, donated raffle prizes and all who came along to enjoy a chat and cuppa. A total of €1,505.00 was raised for Waterford Hospice.

New Candelabra
We have introduced a new votive light candelabra in the right-hand side of the church at Our Lady’s shrine. We hope people will find use for it. Lights on this candelabra cost 25c each.

October, Month of the Rosary
October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, a prayer that gently leads us into the heart of the Gospel through the eyes of Mary. Each decade invites us to walk with Christ—from His joyful beginnings to His glorious triumph.

This month, why not take up your beads once more? Pray a decade on your morning walk, in the car, or before bed. If you’ve never learned the Rosary, now is the perfect time—simple, rhythmic, and deeply powerful.
Let us pray the Rosary together as a parish family, asking Mary, our Mother, to draw us closer to her Son.

We will gather at the grotto in Glenmore, next Sunday at 3pm to pray the rosary. The prayers will be led by the legion of Mary. All are welcome to join us
