Fundraising Horse Night
The Horse Race Night on the Big Screen, takes place on Friday, 17th July. Promoters are currently going around the parish seeking support. Backing a horse is €20 and you get three for €50. You can also sponsor a race for €200. Please support. This is a fundraiser exclusively for the Community Hall Roof Repair, and your support is greatly appreciated.

Sharing Anniversaries
If you book a weekend Mass, it will be with the understanding that families may have to share a particular weekend Mass with others. So far this is working well.
For those who wish to have an individual Mass, we offer weekday Masses at 10am.

May Rosaries
There will be rosary at Ballyvaria Grotto on Monday, 25th May at 7.30pm
The 41st All Ireland Rosary Rally will take place on Saturday, 6th June at Knock Shrine

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes
This takes place from May 25th to 30th.

National Epilepsy Week
National Epilepsy Week 2026 takes place on

Ballyfacey N.S - Clothing Collection.
Ballyfacey N.S. are currently running a used clothing collection in conjunction with Bag2School. Please drop in any unwanted clothes & shoes to the school, & help us have a really good collection! Closing date is Friday May 22nd, and bags can be dropped to the school any day from 9.30AM - 3PM. Thank you.

Glenmore Rural Graveyard Upkeep
The group will hold their AGM in Glenmore Community Hall on Thursday, 28th May at 8pm. All welcome.

Cemetery Rosaries
The annual gathering at our cemeteries for the rosary & blessing of graves takes place on the following dates:
Monday, 6th July, Kilcolumb, Rathenure,
Thursday, 9th July, Kilbride, Weatherstown
Monday, 13th July, Ballygurrim, Jamestown
Thursday, 16th July, Kilmakevoge, Graiguenakill. All Rosaries start at 7.30pm

Cemetery Mass
The Cemetery Mass will take place on Friday, 24th July at 7.30pm

Cemetery Tree
The Yew tree in the parish cemetery (to the right of the church), is impacting surrounding graves, as well as contributing to a green coating appearing on surrounding graves. It is our intention to cut this down in the coming months. Any observations, objections, please let me know.

Cushions
If you require a cushion to sit on the hard seats in the church, some are available in the sacristy.

Scrap Metal Collection
Proceeds going to open a community shop café for Glenmore. Scrap Iron, old cars etc can be dropped off at Aylwardstown, X34 HX67. To have metal collected, contact Richie 086 249 4256 or Fidelis 087 975 2556

The Glenmore Pantomime Society
The society will hold its AGM on Wed 10th June at 7:30pm, during which a new committee will be elected. The society continues to be a great asset to the local community, bringing people together through fun, creativity, and entertainment. We’re looking forward to another successful year ahead and exciting plans for 2026. Everyone is very welcome to attend — whether you’d simply like to hear about the year ahead, support the society, or get more involved. We look forward to seeing you on the night.

Back to Visits
Now with Easter and first sacraments behind us, I can return to my house visits. Those whom I didn’t get to yet, I’ll be in touch. Anyone who would like me to call, get in touch.

Corpus Christi
On Sunday, June 7th, we celebrate the special feast day of The Most Holy Body & Blood of Jesus (Corpus Christi). After the Sunday Mass, and weather permitting, we plan to hold a short procession from the church to the new section of the cemetery for prayers and benediction.. Mark the occasion in your diary and join us.
