If you have nothing else planned, you are welcome to join me in Glenmore church and ring in the New Year with exposition, quiet prayer and some time with the Lord. We will start at 11pm and conclude at midnight with benediction. All welcome.

January 1st is World Day of Peace and is also dedicated to Our Lady, Queen of Peace. Mass at 10 am on New Year’s day will be offered for peace and if you wish to join us, you are very welcome.
First Friday Visits
I will be making my First Friday visits in February. Anyone who wishes to see me before then, get in touch.
House Visits
Thanks to all who have welcomed me into their homes through the home visit’s request. It’s a great way for me to meet people. I will continue my visits in the New Year.
Mass Cards
Mass Cards for living and deceased are available in the sacristy. Suggested donation is €10. Each card is a guarantee of an individual Mass offered for that intention. Please leave the name of the person for whom the Mass will be offered.
Parish IBAN
For those who wish to contribute to the parish online, either by monthly direct debit, or once a year or twice a year, our parish IBAN is IE76 BOFI 9066 3811 5069 20. this is the parish account only, not the priests account. Thank you for your support
Charitable Donation Scheme
Thanks to all who have participated in this scheme. Anyone who donates €250 per year (€5 per week), and who pays tax, we may be able to claim the tax paid on that donated amount, and at no extra cost to the donor.
We sent out 60 CHY forms and have received back 45. If you have yet to fill this out, please do so as soon as possible. If you are not participating, send back the form anyway with your name and a large X across the sheet. That way we will know not to send you forms in the future.
Webcam
It’s encouraging to note that each week, over 50 people tune in to our Masses online. On special occasions the number is even higher. This service is provided free of charge and is a live stream (not pre-recorded).
Christmas Offering
My sincere thanks to all who have contributed to the Christmas collection for the support of the priest. Your generosity is really appreciated. If you didn’t receive a contribution envelope, there are spare envelopes at the back of the church. Just remember to include your name on it.
Security
The church and parish house and monitored by CCTV which operates continuously. Only the parish priest (and An Garda Siochana when requested), have access to the data collected.
Safeguarding
Glenmore parish takes it’s role in safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults seriously and we comply with the Ossory regulations on safeguarding. I am grateful to Anne Marie Harney and Annette Comiskey for their dedication in insuring that the standards of safeguarding are kept high. If you have a safeguarding concern or seek counselling, see the safeguarding notices in the church porch and opposite on this page.
Hall Bookings
All bookings for the Community Hall should be made through me, especially new groups looking to use the Hall. Sometimes a clash of groups does occur. We strive to accommodate as many people as possible. Fr. Liam
Golden Club
The Golden Club will meet next Tuesday at 11am in the parish hall. All welcome.
Parish Envelopes
The news box of envelopes will be delivered to families in the new year, and will start in February. The box will contain a weekly contribution envelope and well as the 6 priest’s collection envelopes. Those who contribute yearly and who don’t want envelopes, might let me know your arrangements. Thank you to all our supporters.
A happy and blessed New Year to all our parishioners and readers.
