If baptisms are booked in Rosbercon or Glenmore on a particular Saturday, and families want that date, they are welcome to join with the other parish for the baptism.

Mass TimeChanges
As I’ve mentioned before, in addition to being PP of Glenmore, from August 1st, I will also become PP of Rosbercon (I will continue to reside in Glenmore). This means I will have three additional churches and three extra Masses. This should not be a problem with some careful planning, but it will mean changes to Mass times in both parishes.
So, from the first weekend in August (1st & 2nd), Masses in Glenmore will be: Saturday’s, 6 pm and Sundays at 11.30 am. Rosbercon Masses will be announced this weekend.

Anniversaries
These are shared for weekend Masses. If families want anindividual Mass, for just their intention we offer weekday Masses.
Please check the anniversary list carefully and let me know ifyou come across any errors in names or times (I do makes mistakes from time to
time).

Parish WhatsApp Community
We are setting up a new WhatApp group that will shareinformation relevant to both Glenmore & Rosbercon. The group will be called: The TwoParishes. This will be the first of manyinitiatives aimed at sharing information into the future.

The Debate Begins
On Wednesday, 30th September, Bishop Gerard Nash will meet with the southern deanery parishes regarding the future of the Church in Ossory. Anyone interested should note the date and a venue will be announced nearer the time.

HouseBlessings
I’m available for house blessings at a time that suits both families and myself. It’s a nice tradition to continue. If you’ve recently moved into a new house and would like a blessing, then get in touch.

Did You Know
Your weekly contribution goes directly to the parish finances and not the priest. This money is used to pay for the light and heat, the insurance and sanctuary expenses, as well as paying our dues to the diocese.
The priest’s contribution is completely separate and taken up 6 times in the year. It’s the green envelope in your contribution box you received at the beginning of the year.
Those who pay yearly and don’t use the envelopes are asked to indicate if their donation is for parish, priest or both.
Thanks too all our supporters and with rising costs, many not attending church or contributing, your generosity is more crucial than ever.
